DIY Ribbon / Cluster Lashes

DIY ribbon or cluster lashes are a creative and cost-effective alternative to professional lash extensions. Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating your own DIY ribbon or cluster lashes:

Materials needed:
1. False lashes: Choose individual lashes or strip lashes that suit your desired style and length.
2. Ribbon or thread: Select a thin ribbon or thread that matches the color of your natural lashes.
3. Scissors: To trim the lashes and ribbon/thread to the desired length.
4. Adhesive: Use lash glue or adhesive specifically designed for false lashes.

Instructions:
1. Prepare the lashes: If you’re using strip lashes, measure and trim them to fit your lash line. For individual lashes, remove them from the tray.
2. Cut the ribbon/thread: Cut the ribbon or thread into small segments, approximately 0.5 to 1 inch in length. You can create as many segments as you’d like, depending on how many clusters you want to create.
3. Apply adhesive: Apply a small amount of adhesive along the base of the false lashes. Make sure to use a glue that is safe for use on the eyes.
4. Attach ribbon/thread: Immediately after applying the adhesive, place one end of a ribbon or thread segment onto the adhesive, ensuring it sticks firmly.
5. Create clusters: Carefully press the remaining portion of the ribbon or thread onto the adhesive, creating a cluster of lashes. Repeat this process to create multiple clusters.
6. Allow drying time: Give the adhesive enough time to dry and set, following the instructions provided with the adhesive product.
7. Apply DIY clusters: Using tweezers or your fingers, position the DIY clusters along your natural lash line. Start from the outer corner and work your way inwards, leaving a small gap between each cluster.
8. Finishing touches: Once the clusters are in place, use mascara or an eyelash curler to blend your natural lashes with the DIY clusters for a seamless look.
9. Removal: When you’re ready to remove the DIY clusters, gently peel them off from the outer corner towards the inner corner of your eye. Take care not to pull or tug too hard to avoid damaging your natural lashes.

Remember, DIY ribbon or cluster lashes may not provide the same longevity or professional finish as traditional lash extensions. It’s essential to exercise caution during application and removal to protect your natural lashes and ensure your safety.
